The Smuttynose Shoals Pale Ale was tapped just after 6 pm on Friday, January 11, 2008. It was a resounding success. The cask (a pin, about 5 gallons) kicked just after 10 pm, with Donavan getting the last drops of hop soup. We met a lot of new people and shared some good beer and conversation. We'll also be talking about the hops shortage and what that will mean for local beer prices.
